FBLA Fundraiser for March of Dimes
Attention CHS ladies: The annual Sadie Hawkins Dance is coming up on March 13 at 7 p.m. in Senator Square. This dance is sponsored by FBLA and is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, a non-profit organization that does research and provides services to families who have had premature babies. The theme for the dance is “Blue Jeans for Babies” but it’s a Sadie Hawkins Dance and girls get to ask the guy out.
We have a special contest running for this dance. Think of the most creative way you can to ask out your fella to the dance, take an Instragram video or picture of the “proposal” post it with the hash tag #chssadies. You could win two tickets to the dance and a $25 visa gift card. Tickets for the dance will go on sale the first week of March for only five dollars a person. For more information, contact Mrs. Golik in room 243.

Senior Spotlight
This week’s senior in the spotlight is Michelle Perry. Michelle has challenged herself throughout high school with a rigorous course load of Honors, Advanced Placement, and college prep classes. She currently has a 3.79 grade point average.
Recently, Michelle completed her fourth and final year for the Carson High School basketball team, where she was captain. She has also played Varsity softball for three years. For her senior project, Michelle shared her love of sports and helping others by coaching a 7th grade girls’ basketball team.
Michelle has served as a Director for Carson High School’s Link Crew for the past two years. Link Crew assists freshmen in making the transition from middle school to high school, and they also support the freshmen throughout the year academically and socially with various events. As a director, Michelle has been responsible for creating and organizing those events.
With a goal to major in education, and eventually become a therapist or counselor, Michelle plans to begin college at WNC and later transfer to a university. Carson High School is proud and appreciative of all of your accomplishments, Michelle!
