Carson City deputies make drug and warrant arrests
A 21-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were arrested on drug charges after arguing over whether or not they should go to drug rehab, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
Hannah Leeper of Sun Valley and Brendan Farmer of Minden were arrested in the area of Eastlake and I-580 North of Arrowhead Drive.
Deputies were dispatched to the area for reports of a physical altercation between two subjects. Deputies arrived and saw Farmer was outside of the vehicle and Leeper was inside. Both told deputies they hadn’t physically fought, but they were arguing about whether or not they should go to drug rehab, the arrest report states. Both had visible track marks and signs of narcotic use.
A K-9 deputy was dispatched to the vehicle and gave a positive alert. Inside deputies found several pieces of drug paraphernalia relating to heroin, a meth pipe, and a small baggie with what appeared to be methamphetamine in it, the arrest report states.
Farmer’s license had also been surrendered or cancelled.
Farmer and Leeper were arrested for the paraphernalia and methamphetamine, and Farmer was additionally cited for driving without a valid license.
At the jail, both admitted to being heroin and meth users and said they would detox while in custody.
