Old West Trio Concert and Talk on Frank Sinatra at Dangberg Historic Park June 27
A concert by Old West Trio and a discussion on Frank Sinatra, wrap up the month of June as part of the Dangberg Summer Festival.
On Thursday, June 27, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Old West Trio returns to play songs of the cowboy with three voices, two guitars and a stand-up bass, bringing Western harmonies and plenty of fun.
Thursday evening concert ticket prices are $20 for 17 years and older. Youth 16 years and younger are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased at the event. Members of Friends of Dangberg Home Ranch will receive discount pricing and should contact the park for more information. The gate opens at 5:30 pm.
On Saturday, June 29, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, “Frank Sinatra: Sinner or Saint?” Frank Sinatra was a complicated man with many different personalities. In this program, Dr. Michael Fischer moderates a discussion between Nevada historians Michael Archer and Guy Farmer as to the evidence to whether Sinatra was a sinner or a saint.
Dr. Michael E. Fischer was appointed Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs by Governor Jim Gibbons in January 2007 and served in the Sandoval Administration until Cultural Affairs was merged with Tourism. Prior to that, he practiced dentistry in Gardnerville for 31 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada, class of 1971 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California, class of 1975.
Please bring your own seating and no pets allowed – certified service animals only. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy as no food or beverages will be sold at these events.
