American history provides enough examples of petulant third parties handing electoral victory to the wrong candidate. Teddybear Roosevelt's ego gave us Woodrow Wilson. Ross PeeRot gave us Bubba Clinton (and therefore, Hillary???).
Any vote for a third party is a vote that's thrown away. WHY? Because we do NOT have a parliamentary system of government. There is NO proportional representation. There is only winner-take-all. So if you want a European style of government, with parties in Congress needing to form coalitions to achieve a ruling majority, which is the only way minor parties have a chance to be relevant, then you have to change (not amend; CHANGE) the Constitution.
In the meantime, if you are a Republican, ANY vote for a third party candidate is a vote for Hillary. If you don't vote, THAT too is a vote for Hillary. (Likewise, if you are a Democrat.)
YOUR only choice is to vote FOR one of the TWO candidates who have a chance to actually be elected.
As far as the Libertarians are concerned, they lost credibility and relevance when they moved from their Ayn Randian origins in understanding of and objective support for free enterprise and the Constitution, and replaced it with support for and advocacy of the self-destructive and subversive drug culture.
