Nevada Health Centers offers COVID vaccinations in Dayton and Silver Springs

This Wednesday, April 19, COVID vaccines will be available from Nevada Health Centers in Dayton and Silver Springs. Primary doses and Bivalent Boosters are available. There is no cost for the vaccines.

Connal O’Morr Peters Berry, aged 69 of Dayton, Nevada, unexpectedly passed away at his home August 21, 2022. He was born in Williston, Florida on December 17, 1952, to Frank Peters, a US Coast Guard Seaman, and Donna B. Harmon. At about two years of age Connal and elder sister Scheri, were adopted by Raymond A. Berry and Ethel G. Carter of Chiefland, Florida. He was predeceased by all parents and younger sister, Denice Hudson Wade.

McAvoy Layne is a good impersonator of my pen name except for the lack of humor, wit and satire. His attempts at writing the Pine Nuts columns that are mistakenly placed as Opinions rather than under his own column that should be named Lame Layne's attempts at both humor and wit. Though I do acknowledge his status as the Official Mark Twain impersonator Nit Wit.

Properly restraining a child in a vehicle is just as important after an emergency as it is in case of an emergency.

That’s why staff from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services’ Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program are delivering pediatric restraint systems at no cost to emergency medical service agencies across the state. In March, almost 40 restraint systems were delivered to fire and rescue departments in Northern Nevada and on April 5 another 32 were deployed to rural partners.

Audrey has a hard luck kitty story that needs a happy ending. Just 4 ½ years old, she was pregnant and homeless, living on the streets of Comstock Mobile Home Park. A kind lady was feeding her and offering shelter from the winter storms, but life was not going well for Audrey.
