Carson City Ward 2 Supervisor Brad Bonkowski will hold his monthly “Breakfast with Brad” on Friday, 7 a.m., Feb. 6, at the Cracker Box restaurant.

The monthly get together will start 30 minutes earlier than in the past beginning this month, to allow more time for people to talk and still get to work on time. All Carson City residents are invited and Bonkowski will buy the coffee.

With the start of the 2015 Nevada Legislative Session Bonkowski’ says this month’s meeting is a good way for residents to ask questions about how the session impacts the city.

A Fallon man has been arrested in the Saturday night Carson City apartment robbery in which the victim was grazed with a bullet after a gun discharged.

Facing criminal charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon is Dominick Burt, 34. Carson City firefighters were called Monday night to the 700 block of Roop Street for a van that was fully involved in fire that was threatening nearby structures. Firefighters were able to douse the flames before they spread.

The fire was called into dispatch at around 9:50 p.m. Flames had threatened a nearby home and it was about to be evacuated before the fire was put out. The van, which reportedly belongs to a mental health clinic, was unoccupied, said Carson City Sheriff's Sgt. Earl Mays.

The attire is said to communicate meaning, cultural legacies and myths. The OXS exhibit “Second Skin” is free at the Nevada Arts Council, 716 N. The Nevada Gaming Control Board released figures Monday showing that $116 million was wagered in Nevada's 191 Sports Books in this year's Super Bowl held Sunday.
