Arrest made in Saturday night Carson City shooting, robbery
A Fallon man has been arrested in the Saturday night Carson City apartment robbery in which the victim was grazed with a bullet after a gun discharged.
Facing criminal charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon is Dominick Burt, 34. He was booked on a parole and probation violation in Churchill County and faces the robbery and assault charges for the alleged crimes on Saturday night at a North Edmonds Street apartment, said Carson City Sheriff’s Lt. Brian Humphrey.
Burt was arrested with the assistance of Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribal Police Department, Churchill County Sheriff's Office and Nevada Parole and Probation, which executed a search warrant.
The victim of the robbery was grazed by a bullet and was not seriously injured. The suspects, Burt and a woman, fled the scene after the shooting. Carson City detectives have identified the female accomplice suspect.
The incident happened shortly before midnight Saturday. The two suspects allegedly confronted the victim about money being owed to them. There was a struggle during the confrontation in which the couple produced guns. During the struggle, a gun was discharged, grazing the victim, said Humphrey. He was treated and released.
An undisclosed amount of cash was also taken from the victim.
