UPDATE 4:54 p.m.: Crashes continue to occur on the freeway and ramps are being closed intermittently to deal with them. There have been over a dozen crashes reported throughout town since 2 p.m.

UPDATE 2:12 p.m.: The freeway is completely backed up due to the multiple crashes. A number of units are being dispatched for traffic control. Avoid the area of the freeway until further notice.

2:05 p.m.: Multiple crashes are now being reported in the area of Eastlake with at least ten vehicles involved.

Responders are reporting the roads are “extremely slick.”
