The Precinct meeting is a gathering of neighbors for the election of precinct delegates to the county convention. This allows people to discuss candidates, issues and suggestions for the Carson City Republican Platform.

The Precinct Meeting is where people can also present resolutions which may be an idea, proposal, or a request for action on a certain subject. Resolutions and platform suggestions will be discussed and reviewed at the county convention.

TAHOE CITY — An avalanche Wednesday morning at Palisades Tahoe ski area resulted in one fatality, the Placer County Sheriff's Office says, with three injuries, according to the resort.
