We will also learn how to control them and start to heal our bodies. We are often told dysfunctions like leaking urine or things that just don’t feel right postpartum are normal and happen to every woman postpartum. We are then never offered solutions beyond kegels.

The pelvic floor is comprised of three layers of muscles and these are the muscles responsible for control over proper pelvic floor function, usually postpartum they just need to be retrained how to work, they are rarely damaged and unable to function properly again.
