Today Carson City Sheriff’s K-9 Officer Tarzan met with staff, patients, and their friends and families at Carson Tahoe Regional Hospital, offering festive joy, comfort, and soft cuddles on Halloween. On Monday, a construction crew was digging a trench in the 200 block of Dayton Valley Road in Dayton, Nev. Workers discovered some bones that appeared to be human and contacted the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

The Chateau at Gardnerville, a Pegasus Senior Living assisted and memory care community, recently received the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce's 'Business of the Year' award.

MINDEN — On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded to a threat received by the “Safe Voice” call line. The threat was specific to Douglas High School faculty and students.

A 61-year-old Northern Nevada Correctional Center inmate was booked Monday on multiple murder charges and made an appearance in Carson City Justice Court.

Lyon County utilities is working on a broken water main Wednesday affecting residents on Grosh Avenue in Dayton. The main has been isolated and shut down. The 34 affected residents are without water at this time, said Lyon County Manager Jeff Page.

Carson Catalina Apartments in Carson City announced Tuesday that its 5th Annual Haunted House will be free and open to the public this year. The Haunted House has become a complex event that incorporates animatronics, live actors, mazes, and much more. The staff begin building the haunted house about 2 months before opening day, Halloween.

The subject matter of this email was a scurrilous attack on Supervisor Lori Bagwell, who may/may not run for Mayor of Carson City, and either way, her final decision to run for Mayor is entirely up to her and inevitably she will present her well qualified credentials to the voters of Carson City.
