Carson City DA's office to unveil elder abuse program on July 26
A new program designed to end elder abuse will be launched by the Carson City District Attorney's Office and Victim Witness Services.
Citizens are encouraged to attend the unveiling of the Stop Abuse of the Vulnerable and Elderly Program, or S.A.V.E on Monday, July 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive
The S.A.V.E Program was created to provide a voice to and to protect vulnerable and older persons in the Carson City community. In addition to aggressively prosecuting these crimes, the S.A.V.E. Program will provide services for vulnerable and older persons and educate law enforcement, health care professionals and community advocates to identify and prevent abuse of vulnerable and older persons.
