Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and Delaware Governor Jack Markell took an important step forward in online gaming Tuesday, signing a first-in-the-nation Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement that will eventually allow poker players in both states to play against each other online at the same virtual tables.

The United Blood Service "Bloodmobile" will be in the courthouse parking lot, 885 East Musser Street. March is Donor Appreciation Month. All donors will receive 300 extra hero reward points for giving blood at this drive. Please bring your photo ID and donor card. There's also free cholesterol testing with every donation.

A wet weather pattern will bring snow to the Sierra and rain to the western valleys and Carson City beginning Wednesday and persist into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The first of two storms will arrive late Wednesday afternoon and persist into Thursday morning. Snow amounts of 10 to 18 inches near the crest, 3 to 8 inches at Lake Tahoe level, and 2 to 4 inches along Highway 395 in Mono County will result in slick and hazardous road conditions. For lower valley floors, rain is expected and impacts will be minimal, according to the weather service.

Carson City Library and the premier online research and reference tool, ReferenceUSA, will host “Find a Job by Using RefUSA at Your Library” a free job seminar, on Tuesday, March 4, at 1 pm at the @ Two Digital Learning Center on the second floor of the library.

This demonstration will provide helpful tips and resources such as interview tips, how to write a resume, and job searching tips. Other tools include salary estimates, job articles and continuing education.
