Here is the Carson City road report for the week of Jan. 7-13: There will be work on Snyder Avenue between Bigelow Drive and Center Drive due to utility relocation related to the next phase of the Carson City Freeway. Most of the work will be on the shoulder, but traffic control will be in place for a short time.

A traffic accident this morning on Highway 395 at Airport Road north of Minden in Douglas County resulted in serious injuries to a motorist who was flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports.

The body of Alysssa Byrne, missing since attending the SnowGlobe Music Festival and last seen by friends late New Year's Eve night or in Stateline early Jan. 1, was found this morning, Douglas County Sheriff's Office reports.

Byrne, 19, was found at 8:30 a.m. just outside the city limits of South Lake Tahoe. A utility worker discovered the remains just off Pioneer Trail, between Black Bart and Al Tahoe. The location is approximately one mile west of the Snow Globe Music Festival, authorities said.

Carson City's Board of Supervisors on Thursday gave a green light to two-lane traffic and parallel parking downtown on Carson Street.
The board voted 4-0 for a motion directing staff to solidify plans for micro-paving and re-striping the street, as well as finding financing, with prospects for action this summer.

A 31-year-old Washoe Valley woman has been arrested and faces a charge of murder in the death of her husband found inside a home Dec. 29, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office reports.

Shaunna Dodd was arrested Thursday by Washoe County Sheriff's Office Special Operations and Investigations Division. She was taken into custody without incident and was booked at the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility for one count of Open Murder, authorities said. She has no bail. Her 37-year-old husband, Brad Dodd, died by gun fire, an autopsy performed Monday confirmed.
