Special guest speaker, Past International Director George L. “Mick” Barrus, will address the group.

Algae forms the base of many food webs, and most algae in Lake Tahoe, though sometimes unattractive, does not pose a health risk to people or animals that enjoy the Lake.
Harmful algal blooms (HABs) are a different story.

Fairytale Express brings Disney characters to life at Mills Park Nevada Day weekend

The Carson City Railroad Association, in partnership with Wild Horse Productions, are bringing back the Halloween train ride at Mills Park in Carson City for Nevada Day weekend. The Halloween Fairy Tale Express will be pulling out of the station at Mills Park on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30.

The once Spicy now very sweet Cream Puff is in need of a happy home. Cream Puff first came to the Nevada Humane Society Carson City Animal Shelter as a kitten in March of 2020, and was adopted by a wonderful lady who loved him very, very much.

This year, on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m., participants were having a blast walking around with their freshly built scarecrows while listening to the live entertainment, Mo'z Motley Blues, playing in the background.
