Carson City Republican Party Caucus and Precinct Meeting

The Precinct Meeting is where people can also present resolutions which may be an idea, proposal, or a request for action on a certain subject. Resolutions and platform suggestions will be discussed and reviewed at the county convention.
One dead, 3 injured in avalanche at Lake Tahoe ski resort

UPDATE: Carson City Schools closed Thursday due to winter weather conditions
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 01/10/2024 - 1:26pmUPDATE: Due to weather-related conditions, all schools in the Carson City School District will be closed for the entire day Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, officials announced late Wednesday evening.
All employees and students should remain home. No student activities, afterschool programs or practices will occur, including remote instruction. No school services such as transportation, nutrition or student health will be provided.

Carson City Sheriff's Office warns about scammers pretending to be sheriff employees

The scammers will solicit personal information and then demand payment in some form, such as gift cards, cash applications, or bitcoin, to not be arrested.
64-year-old transient woman arrested in hectic encounter with Carson City deputies
