This Wednesday, April 19, COVID vaccines will be available from Nevada Health Centers in Dayton and Silver Springs. Primary doses and Bivalent Boosters are available. There is no cost for the vaccines.

April 16-22 is National Volunteer Week. This week is celebrated by Least Resistance Training Concepts, the all-volunteer Technical Large Animal Rescue Team working in the five counties surrounding Nevada’s Virginia Range. While we originated as a training organization supporting horse owners and public safety agencies, today LRTC is the most active large animal rescue team in the country. We respond to nearly 500 urgent calls per year.

A 58-year-old man was arrested Saturday for two felony counts of alleged assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor drawing a weapon in a threatening manner, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Nevada Attorney General Ford announces settlement with telehealth company

CARSON CITY — Attorney General Aaron Ford announced Friday, April 14 a national settlement with Visibly Inc. that resolves an investigation into deceptive business practices at the online telehealth company. Visibly, formerly known as Opternative Inc., markets and sells an online vision test, among other products.
