Rotary Club of Carson City awards grant to local teacher for STEM education

The club recently awarded teacher Kimberly Tucker a $4,000.00 grant to purchase additional robotics kits for the school’s 6th grade LEGO Robotics Class.

Dayton Chamber Awarded $17,653 from Travel Nevada for Outdoor Recreation Brochure
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 12/10/2021 - 11:43amThe Nevada Division of Tourism and Travel Nevada have notified the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce of the award of a $17,653.00 Rural Marketing Grant to distribute up to 20,000 Outdoor Recreational Brochures and 10,000 Dayton and Mound House maps. This is the largest award the Dayton Chamber has ever received from Travel Nevada.
Homestead Holidays in Carson City begins today, continues through weekend with old fashion country celebration

This year, Homestead Holidays returns Dec. 10-12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Silver Saddle Ranch, a working ranch located at 2648 Carson River Road as part of Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space.
Israeli peace activist to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

The group objects to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, and opposes Israel's policies of blockade and non-recognition of the Gaza Strip. They support a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict, with the Green Line as the border except for minor exchanges of territories, and with Jerusalem as the capital of both states.

Nevada launches ‘Community Recovery Grant’ using American Rescue Plan funds to provide direct community services relief
