Developer of Cross Creek at Carson City's Lompa Ranch prepares for homebuyers

The developer of nearly 200 homes to be built at the 400-acre Lompa Ranch master planned community known as Cross Creek in Carson City announced last week that a sales office has been opened and homes are now for sale.

On Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at approximately 6:53 p.m., Troopers with the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division, responded to a single vehicle rollover on US-50 at SR-439 (USA Parkway) in Silver Springs.
Flags lowered for National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, passing of U.S. Sen. Bob Dole

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered the flags of the United States and the State of Nevada to be lowered to half-staff at the State Capitol and all State public buildings and grounds from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in honor of the individuals who perished as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor. The Governor’s executive order aligns with a Presidential Proclamation issued by President Joe Biden.

Carson City area weather: Snow expected late Wednesday into Thursday prompts storm watch

An approaching storm that is expected to bring 1 to 3 inches of snow to the valley floors and around a foot in the Sierra beginning late Wednesday night into Thursday has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Winter Storm watch for the region.
