Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Tahoe Backcountry Safety Awareness Week, Take Care Tahoe has convened partners from around the Tahoe Basin and beyond to lead free virtual and in-person educational sessions focused on backcountry safety Dec. 13-18, 2021.

It was reported an unknown female subject was seen stealing packages from the front porch of residences in the Riverpark, Ferreto Parkway area in Dayton.

Nevada insurance division says consumers should shop, compare Medicare 2022 supplement plans

The new law goes into effect on January 1, 2022, and any replacement policy is guaranteed to be issued at standard rates, regardless of the applicant’s health or pre-existing conditions.
California man sentenced to prison for 2020 arson that destroyed historic Dayton Railroad Depot

A 64-year-old California man was sentenced to 30 to 81 months in state prison after having pled guilty to first degree arson for setting fire to the historic Dayton Railroad Depot building in June 2020.
Carson City Sheriff's Office arrests: Man booked for alleged child pornography crimes

A 31-year-old man was arrested Monday on a felony warrant for the charges of alleged distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography and luring a child by use of a computer for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
