Nevada insurance division says consumers should shop, compare Medicare 2022 supplement plans

CARSON CITY — Nevada’s 2021 Legislature passed Assembly Bill 250, which allows Nevada resident Medicare Supplement policyholders to annually shop and switch to another Medicare Supplement policy sold in this state. The new law goes into effect on January 1, 2022, and any replacement policy is guaranteed to be issued at standard rates, regardless of the applicant’s health or pre-existing conditions.

California man sentenced to prison for 2020 arson that destroyed historic Dayton Railroad Depot

A 64-year-old California man was sentenced to 30 to 81 months in state prison after having pled guilty to first degree arson for setting fire to the historic Dayton Railroad Depot building in June 2020.

Carson City Sheriff's Office arrests: Man booked for alleged child pornography crimes

A 31-year-old man was arrested Monday on a felony warrant for the charges of alleged distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography and luring a child by use of a computer for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
