Carson City arrests: Driver jailed for suspected DUI admits to having 3 whiskey shots, smoking pot

A 54-year-old woman was arrested Monday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI alcohol/drugs and failure to maintain a lane of traffic, a Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report states.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office: 2 dead inside Minden residence after report of shots fired

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident in which two men were found dead Monday evening inside a residence on La Mirada Court in Minden following a call of shots fired.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting 130 recoveries and 30 new cases of COVID-19 in the Quad County area from Saturday, Feb. 20 to Monday, Feb. 22, 2021.

Partnership Carson City, the Carson City Sheriff's Office and its School Resource Officers are working together this year to offer Responsible Beverage Server Training courses. Per the Nevada Revised Statuses 4.13.170, anyone who sells or serves alcohol is legally required to complete the training. The Responsible Beverage Server Training is also open to anyone who would like to learn about enforcing underage drinking laws in Carson City.
Carson City seeks community input on draft 2021-2025 strategic plan

Carson City is in the process of updating the City’s Strategic Plan, which includes the vision, mission and goals that drive the work of the Board of Supervisors and the City Manager for the next five years.
The City is seeking the community’s input on the draft 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, please visit carson.org/plan to view the draft and submit feedback.
