Nevada Legislation proposes raising tobacco purchasing age to 21

Lawmakers are looking to bring Nevada in line with a federal law passed in 2019 that raises the legal tobacco sales age from 18 to 21.

Affordable housing the topic of upcoming Rotary Club of Carson City meeting

At 5 p.m. on Friday a non-injury accident was reported at the intersection of Garnet and Arrowhead near Goni.

Two vehicles are involved and are blocking traffic.

Responders are enroute to the scene.

NDOT, Nevada DMV warn against new scam targeting drivers in Carson City and beyond

The Nevada Departments of Motor Vehicles and Transportation are warning drivers of a texting scheme circulating in Nevada.

These illegitimate messages ask recipients to update their driver's license contact information with the Nevada Department of Transportation. Similar fraudulent texts have been reported in other states.
