The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon will be Eric Biggart, Chair of LDS Democrats of America. The group, which is not affiliated the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has as its slogan, "Same faith. Same values. Different perspective." Their mission, as laid out on their Facebook page, is to “promote the full participation of Latter-day Saints in the Democratic Party. We do this by providing educational and social resources to progressive, moderate, and conservative Democrats who are also LDS, and others who are interested in participating in a ‘no shouting’ environment.”

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon will be Mary Liveratti, who served as AARP's Nevada state president for six years before retiring in 2018. She now serves as a volunteer advocate on behalf of legislation impacting seniors. At Monday's luncheon, she will talk about the role she plays in the University of Nevada, Reno’s NEST (Nevada Ensures Support Together) program, which addresses the social service needs of older Nevadans.

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Patricia Ackerman, Democratic candidate for Nevada's 2nd Congressional District (CD-2). An Emerge Nevada graduate, Patricia ran an aggressive Assembly campaign against District 39 Republican Jim Wheeler in 2018.

Stacey Giomi, Ward 1 Supervisor, former Fire Chief, and Regional Director of Operations for Rural Programs and Director of Facilities & Emergency Preparedness at Nevada Health Centers, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Carson City Democratic Men's Committee's tele-luncheon. Nevada Health Centers is a state-wide organization that provides medical and dental care to over 50,000 low-income, uninsured, underinsured and geographically isolated residents of Nevada. It is the largest community health center in Nevada, with locations in seven different Nevada counties.

Bonnie Bulla, who was appointed to Department 3 of the Nevada Court of Appeals by Governor Steve Sisolak in February 2019, and is running to retain that seat in the November general election, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. She is opposed by Susan Bush, a Las Vegas attorney in private practice.

Ozzie Fumo, Nevada State Assembly member for District 21 in Las Vegas and candidate for the Nevada Supreme Court, Seat D, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. Fumo advanced from the June 9th primary election and now faces District Court Judge Douglas Herndon in the November 3rd general election.

Sena Loyd, candidate for the Nevada State Assembly, District 40, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. She became the official Democratic nominee in June's three-way primary, in which she received 47 percent of the vote.

The topic of her presentation will be "Housing First: Why the first and primary need of an individual experiencing homelessness is to obtain stable housing, and that all other issues affecting that individual can be addressed once housing is obtained."

Featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon will be James E. "Jim" Wilson, Jr., presiding judge for Department II of the First Judicial District Court, which serves Carson City and Storey Counties. First elected in 2008, Judge Wilson was re-elected unopposed in the 2014 primary and was re-elected again running unopposed in this year's primary.

Kyle Roerink, Executive Director of the Great Basin Water Network, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon.

Rick Shepherd, primary candidate for the House of Representatives, District 2, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. A native Nevadan, Rick is UNR educated and has operaed a technology company in Sparks since 2002.

Lisa Schuette, Ward 4 candidate for the Carson City Board of Supervisors, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. A retired health teacher and probation officer, Schuette founded the non-profit Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI), which helped raise money to build and equip the new animal shelter.

Ed Cohen, primary candidate for the House of Representatives District 2, will speak via Zoom at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon. Ed serves as Communications and Marketing Director for a Reno-based nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that provides education to the judiciary.

Mike Smith, Ward 4 candidate for the Carson City Board of Supervisors, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. A retired high school principal, Smith currently serves on the Redevelopment Authority's Citizens Committee and the Symphony Association's Board of Trustees.

Chas Macquarie of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby will be the guest speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. In addition to laying out the scientific fundamentals of climate change, Macquarie's presentation will touch on the potential climate implications of social and cultural changes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This past weekend, Gov. Sisolak and state authorities provided updates and clarifications regarding statewide school closures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
