Power outage affects 10,000 NV energy customers between Carson City, Douglas County

UPDATE 11:56 AM: Some NV Energy customers say they remain without power late this morning after NV Energy reports the majority of the power has been restored. As of 11:57 a.m. the utility says only 2 customers are without power. Messages to Carson Now from customers say many remain without power.

A large trailer hauling cars and trucks clipped a power pole on North Carson Street Friday morning, temporarily closing the north and southbound lanes. The incident happened at around 9:40 a.m. in the 2500 block. No injuries were reported. Traffic is being rerouted.
