Always Lost: A Meditation on War
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 04/16/2013 - 10:10amTony Mariskanish, with the Nevada Legislature, installs the "Always Lost: A Meditation on War" art and humanities exhibition at the Legislative Building on Friday. An opening ceremony will be held Wednesday, April 17, at 1 p.m. in the second floor atrium. The ceremony is free and open to the public and the exhibit will be open at the Legislature until May 3.

Western Nevada College’s acclaimed creative writing/photographic exhibition about the costs of war will be on display in the Nevada Legislative Building’s second-floor atrium on weekdays, April 17 to May 3.

First time I went to Burning Man on the Black Rock playa, I slept in my SUV. Not bad but second and third it was in my tent, a very gritty and uncomfortable week. Fourth I weaseled my way into a friend's a fold-out trailer, which was better. But from then on I teamed up with a retired airline pilot, who had a nice 27-foot Winnebago. Four of us the first three times, just two the last.
