Spring Carson City AYSO Soccer Registration Open Now

Spring AYSO Soccer registration is open to all Carson City children born between Jan. 1 2010 and May 1, 2015. Children must be 3 years old before the first day of soccer.

WNC announces 322 students on Fall Dean’s List

Western Nevada College has named 322 students to the Fall 2017 Dean’s List. To earn this distinction, students must complete at least 12 units during the semester and accumulate a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Autumn is coming to Carson City and it brings Edgar Allan Poe with it! Edgar Allan Poe stands alone in the flickering darkness of his mind, trying desperately to convince himself — and us — that he's not mad.

The spell Poe weaves brings us a highly theatrical adaptation of four tales Poe himself considered his best: "The Raven," "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Pit and the Pendulum," and "The Tell-Tale Heart."

The 29th annual Nevada Writers Hall of Fame event honors Nevada’s finest authors and recognizes emerging writers for their work. This year, the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame will welcome Gailmarie Pahmeier, Reno’s first poet laureate, and Willy Vlautin, song writer and author of four highly-recognized novels. Tod Goldberg, author of the comedic crime novel “Gangsterland,” is the 2016 Silver Pen Recipient.
