Carson City among 25 finalists for Levitt AMP music series grant, winners to be announced Dec. 20

Winners will be announced Dec. 20, according to an announcement Thursday morning.

Thank you U.S. Veterans for your service to our great country. There are a number of organized happenings in the region, including parades in Virginia City and Reno, as well as events in South Lake Tahoe and Sparks. Plus a number of Carson City and Carson Valley restaurants are offering no cost meals as a gesture of gratitude to veterans and active duty military members. The club's founder notes its acceptance thus far has been slow going but, so far, successful.

Carson Tahoe Health, Rotary of Carson City celebrate Labyrinth anniversary and partnership
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 11/06/2019 - 8:57amWednesday marks 13 years since the opening of the outdoor Labyrinth located at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. The unique space was made possible through a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Carson City.
In 2006, under the leadership of past president Rafael Cappucci, the Rotary Club contributed $75,000 to build the Labyrinth, and gave another $200,000 in support of the Cancer Center project over a four-year period.

A little over 40 years ago we were instrumental in helping acquire the Brewery Center for the Arts campus. We then set about creating our gallery and have been up and running continuously for the past 40 years.
