Carson Mayor to speak at Democratic luncheon

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell. Lori began her service on the Board of Supervisors in January, 2015, representing Ward 3, and was elected mayor in 2020. She is currently running for reelection against four other candidates in the June 11 primary. The top two will go on to the November 5th general election.

Nevada Health Centers is a state-wide organization that provides medical and dental care to over 50,000 low-income, uninsured, underinsured and geographically isolated residents of Nevada. It is the largest community health center in Nevada, with locations in seven different Nevada counties.

AYSO Carson City Youth Soccer opens fall 2020 registration for kids of all ages

The AYSO Carson City Youth Soccer Region 140 organization is bringing excitement back to the state capitol.

Registration for the upcoming fall season is open for kids ages 3-18. Early bird registration ends July 15 and can be made online or in-person at Yogurt Beach, located at 3228 N. Carson St. in Carson City. In-person registration will be held Wednesday, July 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We're heading into the midweek, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 with sunny skies and activities throughout the day including day 2 of the Jukebox International Film Festival at the Carson City Community Center, Jazz and Beyond festival performances to complement Wheeled Food Wednesday at the BAC followed by a classic outdoor movie to boot, "West Side Story." "We are excited about how interested the community is in AYSO." says Region 140 Commissioner Travis Kennison. "These opening ceremonies are a way for us to show pride in AYSO."
