Carson City vet, Nevada Humane Society seek information after dogs thrown from moving vehicle
UPDATE 4PM: The following is from Kimberly Wade, communications manager for Nevada Humane Society regarding the dog that was found severely injured Saturday on Highway 50 East:
Hi everyone! I'm the communications manager at Nevada Humane Society. We don't know the backstory as no one is coming forward with any proof or anything anyone can even investigate. What we do know is that Tiny Tim, as we have named him, is ok.
He has a severe break in one leg and for the best interest of his health we will be removing. His pelvis is also broken. He is on cage rest and we are watching over him closely.
We do expect him to make a full recovery! If you wish to donate to the cost of all of his care, please donate to Emily's Fund through our website or directly to our fundraising page, https://crm.bloomerang.co/HostedDonation… Emily's Fund allows us to care for sick and injured pets. You can also earmark any checks with "Tiny Tim".
I will be back in the office Thursday but if needed you can email me at kwade@nevadahumanesociety.org. Please help us spread the word to help Tiny Tim!

Margie Quirk, owner of Lone Mountain Veterinarian Hospital, asks Carson City residents if they saw or know the person or persons who threw two small dogs from a window of a moving vehicle on Highway 50 East over Christmas Eve Saturday.
One dog was hit by a car and killed and the surviving dog has traumatic fractures, she said. Quirk runs the Missing Pets Carson City Facebook page.
If anyone has information about this animal cruelty crime they should call the Carson City Sheriff's Office at (775) 887-COPS. They can also call the Carson City Nevada Humane Society at 887-2171.
