One dead after vehicle versus pedestrian accident at U.S. Highway 50 East and Airport Road
UPDATE: 12:45PM: The pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle Saturday morning at U.S. Highway 50 East and Airport Road has died, the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) Northern Command reported on Twitter.
No other details about the crash are available at this time as NHP continues its investigation of the incident.

Carson City emergency crews are on scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 50 East at Airport Road.
The call came into 9-1-1 emergency dispatch shortly after 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning. A pedestrian was reported to be down in the road way, breathing but not conscious.
Carson City Firefighter-Paramedics are transporting the victim to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City, where a Care Flight helicopter will then provide emergency transport to a trauma center.
The exact condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
Traffic control measures are in place at U.S. Highway 50 and Airport Road. Motorists can expect traffic back up and delays. Alternate routes are advised.
