Medicare Open Enrollment underway for Prominence Health Care
Now through Dec. 7, seniors in Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, Storey, and Washoe counties can enroll for superior health benefits with Prominence Health Plan’s Medicare Advantage plan.
Open enrollment for eligible Medicare beneficiaries in Nevada has officially commenced and will close on December 7. Medicare Open Enrollment Period (AEP) is an important time for individuals to apply or revaluate the medical coverage they need. However, during this period, most people don't know that they can also enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan that offers additional value-added benefits to help them along their healthcare journey.
Individuals who enroll with Prominence Health Plan will have accessible health care for 2020 that includes resources and services that aren’t included within Original Medicare Plans. This is in addition to having no monthly premium, no deductibles, no co-pays for primary care and no referrals to specialists.
Prominence Health Plan is introducing a revolutionary new debit card for its members, called the Prominence+ Card, which comes loaded with thousands of dollars for use in dental, vision and hearing benefits.
The Prominence+ Card is in addition to the other great plan benefits including, an annual health assessment, telemedicine services through Teladoc, a no-cost fitness membership, an allowance of $100 every three months for over-the-counter supplies and prescription drug coverage. Prominence Health Plan also offers transportation to plan-approved locations for members with limited movability.
“Prominence Health Plan puts accessible health care at the forefront of Northern Nevada by providing a robust provider network and unparalleled resources for Medicare Advantage members,” said Kamal Jemmoua, CEO for Prominence Health Plan. “We had an opportunity to implement revolutionary benefits that could dramatically impact the lives of Nevadans, and we have successfully incorporated these services into our 2020 offerings.”
Prominence Health Plan recognizes that access to healthcare in Northern Nevada can be challenging, so the company built two innovative Prominence Care Centers earlier this year. Prominence Care Center facilities, with locations in both Reno and Carson City, feature full-time medical teams and health coaches who provide high-quality personalized care with longer appointment blocks with no or minimal co-pays. Services include same-day biometrics, chronic disease management and acute care.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, There are nearly 475,120 Nevada residents over the age of 65 and more than 209,000 residents with a disability under age 65 who may qualify for Medicare.
Plans are available for Medicare-eligible residents in Washoe, Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey Counties.
