Show Girls Events, a new business partnership between promoters Elaine Barkdull-Spencer and Laura DeVoe, is thrilled to unveil their latest venture: the 2023 Sierra Women's Expo. Set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the expo will be held at the Douglas County Community Center in Gardnerville.

The speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Courtney Warner, who has served as Executive Director of the Carson City Senior Center since 2015. In addition to Meals on Wheels and low-cost lunches at the Senior Center's dining room, programs she supervises include educational lectures, fitness and wellness initiatives, and resources for promoting a healthy, independent lifestyle.

From now until September 30, SONV is asking the community to support its athletes and programs by registering to walk, run, bike, or swim a 10k, 5k, or the distance of a JR. run.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Department of Public Safety will hold a one-day hiring event in Carson City on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Special Olympics Nevada (SONV) will hold it’s first-ever “Flame of Hope” virtual run and fundraiser, August 4 through September 12. Open to the public to participate, the virtual run is a new addition to the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run ® (LETR).
