Business future of Carson City, Carson Valley to be presented Wednesday by state demographer
The Carson City Chamber is hosting Nevada State Demographer Jeffrey Hardcastle at their monthly Soup’s On! luncheon scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the Gold Dust West beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Hardcastle will be presenting demographic statistics showing the ripple effect businesses currently in operation at the Tahoe Regional Industrial Center (TRIC) are now having on our economy. He will emphasize the effect new businesses recently announced such as switch and Tesla will be having on the economy of northern Nevada with emphasis on Carson City and Douglas County. Plus, there is soon to be an announcement regarding even more major businesses moving into the Center.
Carson City is about 50 miles from the TRIC and population here is expected to grow by about 3,000 within the next five years. Douglas County population is expected to decrease.
For all those who produce marketing and sales projections up to five years, this luncheon presentation will be an important component to the planning process.
Reservations may be made online here by Monday, October 26 or by calling the Chamber at 882-1565. Cost is $16 per person by 10/26. $20 after that date and at the door. The general public is invited. Go here for details.
