Mass Shooting in Las Vegas: 59 dead, more than 500 wounded

UPDATE 9:16AM: At least 59 people died and at least 500 wounded in Sunday night's sniper shooting, said Las Vegas Metro Police Department Sheriff Joseph Lombardo. It is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Both vehicles associated with the now deceased shooter, Stephen Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, have been located as has the female person of interest, Paddock's companion Marilou Danley.

UPDATE 2AM: At least 20 people died in the shooting late Sunday night with more than 100 injured. The suspect, who is dead, is a resident of the Las Vegas area, said Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
There is a person of interest that has been identified. Marilou Danley, an Asian female, 4'11, 111 pounds. Police are looking for two vehicles associated with the shooter: A Hyundai Tucson Nevada license plate 114B40 and a Chrysler Pacifica, Nevada plate 79D401. Lombardo said two police officers are in the hospital, including one in critical condition, and that off-duty police officers attending the concert have died.

UPDATE 12:43AM: Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirms via Twitter that one suspect is down. "At this time we do not believe there are any more shooters."

Multiple people shot were Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Las Vegas Strip. University Medical Center spokeswoman Danita Cohen said the Las Vegas hospital is taking in "several" people with gunshot wounds. She didn't have any more immediate information, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
Multiple reports are saying that several people have been shot, including one Metro Police officer, at the Route 91 Harvest Festival at an outdoor stage near Mandalay Bay.
Flights in and out of @LASairport had been temporarily halted in response to reported shooting incident on Las Vegas Strip, according to McCarran International Airport. McCarran International Airport said at 12:47 a.m. that "limited flight activity has resumed."
