An armed robbery was reported at the Subway sandwich shop on Winnie Lane, just before 10 a.m. Thursday.
The suspect — described as a white male, blonde, 5'10", wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a gray hat — robbed employees and a customer, according to Carson City sheriff's investigators. He was reportedly wearing dark gray mask that he removed when leaving the store. He fled the scene on foot.
A canine unit is on the scene trying to track the suspect. There were no injuries reported. The man made off with money taken from the register and a customer.
Earlier this year, on April 19, the same Subway was broken into with the suspect entering the restaurant through the roof of the building at 100 West Winnie Lane. The suspects climbed down through a ventilation pipe, rummaged through the restaurant and took an undetermined amount of cash and other items.
