Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation June 13 in Carson City for 9-year-old Anthony Cox
The Cox family of Carson City has been selected as the Hero Family State Representatives for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s national fundraising weekend, Alex’s Lemonade Days, June 12-14.
The Carson City event will take place at the Boys and Girls Club in Carson City, 1870 Russell Way, Saturday, June 13, 2015 9-12pm. For those that can not make it out the event donations are accepted online.
A smiling and kindhearted young man of 9, Anthony Cox began having frequent intense headaches about a year ago. An MRI revealed a large mass on his brain that required a 16 hour surgery to remove. Now in treatment, Anthony, who loves to say “Thumbs Up,” touches the hearts of everyone he meets. The Cox family will be fighting childhood cancer for all kids by holding a lemonade stand June 13 during Alex's Lemonade Days. Read more about Anthony, a childhood cancer hero.

In an effort to change the future for kids fighting cancer, ALSF, a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer, has selected fifty families across the country to represent their state and take a stand against
childhood cancer during Alex’s Lemonade Days, June 12-14, 2015.
The 50 state representatives, all of whom have been personally impacted by childhood cancer, will work to spread awareness about the ongoing childhood cancer fight by sharing their personal journeys.
Alex’s Lemonade Days is a volunteer fundraiser commemorating 8-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott’s challenge to raise $1 million for childhood cancer cures, one cup of lemonade at a time. During Alex’s Lemonade Days, volunteers across the country host lemonade stands over the course of three days to continue her mission and bring renewed attention to the fight against childhood cancer.
