Former Tahoe Brewing Company owner turns himself into Carson City Sheriff's Office
Former Lake Tahoe Brewing Company owner Michael Candelario turned himself into Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigators Tuesday on a felony contempt of court warrant and misdemeanor violation of pre-trial supervision warrant. Both warrants were issued by Carson City Justice Court earlier this month.
In January, Lake Tahoe Brewing Company, located at the corner of South Carson and West Proctor streets, closed its doors.
In February Candelario was arrested on a charge of felony theft, accused of stealing $45,000 worth of equipment from a Canadian brewery. According to detectives, Candelario received the payments but he allegedly did not arrange for the canning equipment to be shipped. The unidentified victim filed a report with Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia, who contacted the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
The contempt of court for failure to appear, bail was set at $10,000 cash, and the violation of pretrial supervision, $3,000.
