Avoid getting pinched for DUI this St. Patrick's Day, have a designated driver or call a taxi
With St. Patrick’s Day arriving Thursday, the potential for intoxicated drivers being on the roadways greatly increases. As you celebrate this day with green beer, Irish whiskey or your favorite adult beverage, keep in mind that should you choose to drink and drive it is going to cost you a lot of green when you get arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
A bit of Irish luck will only go so far. Celebrations should be just that and not somber memories of family and friends killed when a drunk driver gets behind the wheel. There is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow.
This Saint Patrick’s Day make the wise decision not to drink and drive. Designate a sober driver or call a taxi to get you home safely. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office will be increasing patrols during this day with a focus on intoxicated drivers. Do your part in keeping our roadways safe, don’t drink and drive.
