Zephyrus Brass Quintet to play Saturday at Carson Mall
Zephyrus Brass Quintet, an affiliate of the Carson City Symphony, will play for the first annual Blood Drive for Life on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Carson Mall, 1227 S. Carson Street. Admission is free.
The blood drive, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is sponsored by Northern Nevada Youth Football League and United Blood Services. Two semi-pro teams, the Reno Reapers women's team and the Nevada Dream team, will be at the event.
Zephyrus features Bob Masters and Alan Catron on trumpets, Lin Nelson on horn, Paul Jorgensen on trombone, and David Bugli on tuba. All are members of the Carson City Symphony, and Bugli is the Symphony conductor. This will be the second appearance by the quintet at Carson Mall.
