Mayor Crowell to present State of City Address on Tuesday
Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell will address members of the Carson City Chamber and the community at the forthcoming State of the City address scheduled at the Gold Dust West on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Crowell will address the issues facing the city as we go forth into a very tenuous 2013.
Now that the library issue is history, what is next for the city and the downtown core? Will restriping Carson Street to reduce the four lanes to two be the panacea to attract more residents to the downtown? Already on the docket is the need for the sewer plant upgrade. What new businesses are looking to relocate to our city and what is being done to address the vacancies in north Carson and along the Highway 50 corridor? How will the legislative mandates affect our general fund?
The audience will have time to question the Mayor on what the Board of Supervisors has been doing what the primary agenda of the 2013 board will be.
A full American breakfast will be served at a cost of $20 per person. The public is invited. Reservations must be made prior to January 11 by calling the Chamber at (775) 882-1565.
