Sierra Foot and Ankle taking in donations for Pets of the Homeless, FISH
Sierra Foot and Ankle, a podiatry practice with offices in Carson City and Gardnerville, is serving as a donation site for Pets of the Homeless and Friends In Service Helping (FISH) during the months of December and January, a press release said.
Both offices -- including the Carson City location at 2350 South Carson Street, Suite 3 -- are accepting pet food drop-offs and monetary donations. Pet food donations will be distributed by FISH for the Pets of the Homelesss charity, a Carson City-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with nationwide outreach.
"Sierra Foot and Ankle believe in the healing power of companion pets, which are very important in the lives of so many homeless," wrote Alison Lewis of Sierra Foot and Ankle in a press release. "Our site will gather donated pet food and deliver to the FISH local food bank."
Monetary donations will be given to “Pets of the Homeless” wellness clinics so veterinarians can provide treatment and vaccinations to homeless pets.
