Carson City Senior Center Celebrates Veterans
Carson City Senior Center honored Veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the Salute to Our Veterans Lunch at the Senior Center. With over 200 in attendance, the event paid tribute and respect to our Veterans with opening remarks by Mayor Bob Crowell, Vietnam Veteran and retired Navy Captain.
The Carson High JROTC presented the colors and proudly introduced each service branch with a thoughtful speech. The lunch celebrated our proud service men and women including Veterans who fought in World War II, a Purple Heart recipient, and Veterans who had attended the Honor Flight Network's program in Washington, DC.
The Senior Center was honored to have the Mayor and City Manager, both Veterans, attend our event and were proud to honor and celebrate our Veterans and the family members of our Veterans.
