Carson City ‘I Voted’ Sticker Design Winners Announced
On June 15th, The Carson City Board of Supervisors selected two winners for the Carson City Elections Department “I Voted” sticker design contest. The winning designs, by Laura Licari and Tyler Kerver, will be used for the three elections in 2024, starting with the February 2024 Presidential Preference Primary.
The Board of Supervisors chose the two winning designs from a pool of five finalists. The finalists were selected by the Elections Department after reviewing over 20 submissions.
“We were very impressed with the quality of the submissions we received,” said Carson City Clerk-Recorder Scott Hoen. “The winning designs are both beautiful, creative, and we are confident that they will be a hit with voters.”
The winning designs feature the words “Carson City” prominently, as well as the Nevada state capitol. The designs also include a variety of other elements, such as a patriotic colors and the flag.
“We wanted to create designs that would be both visually appealing and meaningful to voters,” said Licari. “I’m excited that my design will be used to encourage people to vote in the upcoming elections.”
“I’m honored that my design was chosen,” said Kerver. “I hope that it will help to get people excited about voting and civic engagement.”
The “I Voted” stickers will be available at polling places in Carson City during the 2024 election cycle.
