Carson City Charter Review Committee seeks input

The governing ordinance requires that proposed amendments to the Charter be heard and debated by the Committee, who then advises the Board of Supervisors with regard to recommendations of the Committee that concern necessary amendments to the Charter.

As a special tip you would be well advised to purchase that new license ASAP, because if you forget, go fishing after March 1 and get checked by “The Friendly Old Game Warden,” he isn’t going to be happy nor will you.
Man convicted, sentenced for deer poaching

Nerces Sarkis Himidian, 68, was ordered upon conviction to pay a $1,000 fine and $2,500 in civil penalties to the Operation Game Thief program.

English professor releases new book of poems, “Of Dirt and Tar”

The second, full-length collection of poetry by Saraceno, the English department chair at Sierra Nevada College, will be released March 1 by Cherry Grove Collections, with accolades on its jacket by some of the nation's top poets.

As a first step in the relationship, the organizations will develop a community with 40 units for memory care services on the Carson Tahoe Specialty Medical Center campus. Construction will begin in 2014.
