Catch the Carson Victory Rollers at the Carson City Community Center as they scrimmage to raise funds for Moms on the Run. You’ve still got plenty of pumpkin opportunities with the Nevada Railroad Museum’s Harvest Train or the Corley Ranch Harvest Festival in Gardnerville. It’s a classic whodunnit on the big screen. Get ready for Halloween with your choice of pumpkin patches. Seeliger Elementary School is hosting theirs for the twenty-fifth year in a row. Take a trip on the V and T Steam Train at the Nevada Railroad Museum, actually take several trips. The annual Harvest Train event offers an all-day wristband that allows for as many rides as you’d like, in addition to museum admission. So many more fun activities are available to you, you’ll have to read on to see them all.

Life of Julia Bulette featured at Leisure Hour Club dinner meeting
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Sat, 10/07/2017 - 8:50amMembers of the Carson City Leisure Hour Club will learn of the loves and losses of Julia Bulette, renowned resident of Virginia City, at their dinner meeting on Wednesday, October 18.
Bulette’s murder began a manhunt that last over a year and resulted in the arrest, trial, and the April 24, 1869 execution of John Millian.
In what was the largest gathering of people in Nevada up to that time, 3,000 to 4,000 people were present at the hanging.

While you're there, head to the CCAI Gallery on the second floor to catch the last few days of the 'Industrial Art: Sports Edition' exhibit.

Jim Gocke Adds Expanded Access To Carson Valley Medical Center Primary Care

Gocke (pronounced Go-Key), brings 22 years of healthcare experience to Carson Valley - including 11 years in emergency medicine.

Pioneer High School JAG students achieve 100 percent graduation rate in 2017

It was reported by Dr. Cantu, Executive Director of JAG, that the state’s graduation rate reached 90 percent in 2017 for students associated in JAG programs across Nevada.
