Carson City wins 2019 Levitt AMP Grant Awards for free concert series

We are also the only west coast winner.
The grant gives $25,000 to each community in order to present their own Levitt AMP Music Series, ten free outdoor concerts featuring “high-caliber entertainment in a broad range of music genres.”

Tuesday Evening Hike to Downtown Carson-East Side hosted by Muscle Powered

Meet at parking lot directly across from the Nevada Supreme Court on Stewart Street, between 5th and Musser Street. We will do a partial East Side Historical Tour. After the walk join us for hot chocolate/coffee at Comma Coffee.
All hikes start at 5:30 PM. For the winter, these hikes are moving onto paved paths in town and will be 3-5 miles long and with duration of about 1-1/2 hours. Water and sturdy boots or athletic shoes required. PLEASE BRING A FLASHLIGHT because it is dark on these walks.

The hikers learned about the stories behind some of Nevada’s most culturally impactful figures, such as Hank Monk, Abram Curry, and Annie H. Martin, while getting visited by a couple spirits along the way!
