Carson Mall will host its first Artists and Makers Fair this Saturday, Sept. 7. Come one and all for art showings and live demonstrations of artists work throughout the day at this all ages family event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Carson City's 3rd Annual BOO-nanza now accepting vendor applications from local businesses

Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space is pleased to announce our 3rd Annual BOO-nanza Halloween event on Tuesday, October 29th.

Last year, approximately 1000 children participated and we expect a bigger crowd this year. In an effort to create a safe and family friendly Halloween experience, Carson City Park, Recreation & Open Space has partnered with the Carson City Library. The Community Center will be opened for trick or treating, haunted house, and outdoor carnival.

Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen coming to Harveys at Lake Tahoe

Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen is heading to Lake Tahoe. The celebrated star chef and television personality will be opening the third restaurant in his chain inside the historic Sage Room at Harveys Lake Tahoe. It is planned to debut in late 2019.

The Carson Senators football team cruised to a 57-28 victory over the Lower Lake Trojans on Friday.

Kicking up dirt: Amateur and Pro dirt bikers show their skills this Friday and Saturday at Fuji Park

For the third year in a row, over 250 dirt bike racers will gather in Carson City at Fuji Park for their chance to win a $10,000 prize at the Fuji Park Flat Track dirt bike races this Saturday.

Reader John Green Jr. snapped photos of some of the riders practicing Friday afternoon to get ready for the big race.

Amateur riders will show their skills throughout the day, and professional races will begin tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Carson City man arrested after son found a loaded AK-47 in closet and fired into neighbor's apartment

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Alouette Thursday evening for felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and two counts of child endangerment or neglect.

Laugh out loud as comedy favorite Bob Zany presents "Carson City Tonight Where You Are The Star!" at the end of this month, August 30-31, at the Carson Comedy Club at the Carson Nugget.

Bob is a stand up comedian well known for appearing in films such as "Joe Dirt" and "The Informant." Bob was also on the "Friends of the Bob and Tom Show" on Comedy Central.

Nevada job growth continues: Reno and Vegas see gains, Carson City down slightly in July

While Carson City employment figures show a decrease of roughly 100 jobs in July, the capital city is up more than 1,000 jobs over the year, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s monthly economic report released Tuesday.
