With fingers crossed, the weather should hold out until it’s over, but be prepared for some wind. The Shrine Circus is in Reno, Girl Scout Cookies are on sale, and we inch closer to the longer days and shorter nights of Spring. It’s a great day for the kids with the Kerak Shrine Circus in Reno, cookie decorating at Genoa Candy and Coffee, and a Father-Daughter Dance at Dayton High School. Show some love to Carson High Senior Amber Reeves: she’s displaying her photography at the Brewery Arts Center for her Senior Project. Carson City Arts Gallery introduces their monthly Artist Reception tonight by welcoming Kathleen Osborne Flanagan. The nightlife tonight features music, karaoke, dancing, comedy and more. Firefighting Hotshot crew to host 9th annual Silver State Vertical Drop Ski Competition

Justin Cutler, the current captain of the Silver State Hotshots, began the event in 2008 and it has taken place each year, this year being the 9th consecutive.

Several new art exhibits are opening tonight, so make the rounds to the CCAI Courthouse Gallery, the Carson City Visitor Center, and Paradise Salon Spa Wellness if you want to hit them all.

Carson High School's NJROTC cadets surprised their instructors James Ingram and Daniel Meyer when, two weeks before the end of the semester, they voted to adopt five families for the holidays.
