UPDATE 9:40PM: 100 percent of ballots for Carson City have been counted, including absentee and early voting. Here are the final results for the contested races:

Carson City Board of Supervisors Ward 1
Stacey Giomi: 14,373 (66.54 percent)
John Wood: 7,228 (33.46 percent)

Carson City Justice of the Peace Department 2, Nonpartisan, 6-year term
Kristin Luis: 11,079 (50.92 percent)
Ryan Russell: 10,680 (49.08 percent)

Carson City Sheriff
Kenny Furlong: 17,536 (78.86 percent)
Lorne R. Houle: 4,700 (21.14 percent)

Go here for results of how Carson City voted in state contested races. Those include races for State Senate District 16, with Democrat Tina Davis Hersey and Republican incumbent Ben Kieckhefer; State Assembly District 40 with incumbent Republican Al Cramer and Democrat Autumn Zemke.

Douglas woman sentenced to prison for stealing $264K from elderly father

CARSON CITY — A 62-year-old Douglas County woman was sentenced by Second Judicial District Court Judge James Todd Russell to 30-96 months in prison, and ordered to pay full restitution of more than $264,000 in a case that involved stealing money from her elderly father.

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for felony parole and probation violation after allegedly waving a BB gun around and threatening people near a casino in the 1900 block of North Carson Street, a sheriff's deputy said.

Transient man arrested for failing to register after harassing grocery store customers

—A 57-year-old transient man was arrested in the parking lot of a Carson City grocery store early Friday morning on the charge of an ex-felon failing to register.

Deputies were called to the grocery store on reports of an intoxicated male harassing customers. When the man was asked to leave by employees, the man took a shopping cart for personal use and attempted to leave the property with the cart.

Carson City woman arrested for felony burglary after shoplifting a Giants shirt

A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 3800 block of S. Carson Street Wednesday evening on a felony burglary charge.

Angela Bowman was arrested after deputies responded to a call regarding a petit larceny charge at a Carson City retail store.

The loss prevention team of the store had Bowman detained in the security office when deputies arrived.

Bowman has at least two prior convictions for petit larceny, according to the police report.
