Early Childhood Expo in Carson City canceled Saturday

The Fourth Annual Early Childhood Expo scheduled for Saturday, March 3 at the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada has been canceled because of expected inclement weather, Carson City School District Public Information Officer Dan Davis said.

His illustrated talk, "Choices, Chances, and Changes," is part of CCAI’s ongoing Nevada Neighbors series and will take place at 6 p.m. at the Union restaurant, 302 W. Proctor St in Carson City.

There will be an informal reception for Salinas preceding the event at 5:30 p.m. No tickets needed; the public is cordially invited.

The Capital City Arts Initiative announces its exhibition, "Works: Some Water Some Welded," with artwork by artists Susan Glaser Church and Stephen Reid at the city’s Sierra Room located in the Community Center, 851 E William Street, Carson City. The exhibition is available to the public from March 2 – June 30, 2018. CCAI will host a reception for the artists on Friday, March 2, 5-7pm in the Sierra Room.

Easter Fiesta at Western Nevada College

The Association of Latin American Students and nursing students are hosting WNC’s annual Easter Fiesta on Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Festivities will take place in Rotary Plaza on the Carson City campus, including an egg scramble on the ball field at 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public; tickets for games can be purchased for $1 per ticket. Proceeds help fund student scholarships.

Dayton Valley Branch Library to host March 9-10 book sale
